The Ultimate News Quiz 2010 took place on Thursday February 11 and raised a staggering £46,280 for charity! See some photos.

The organising committee would like to thank Google for hosting such an outstanding event and everyone who attended and showed their generosity on the night. We look forward to seeing you back again next year!

For the fourth year running, media geniuses and corporate brains battled it out in The Ultimate News Quiz. This year we were delighted to be hosted by Google, who put on a fantastic Valentine Day themed event with a red carpet, beautifully iced cupcakes and balloons. As usual questions caused passionate debate amongst teams who were kept in their place by the Queen of the Raised Eyebrow and this year’s Quizmistress—Anne Robinson.

During the event there was a main auction, silent auction and raffle. Offering the guests the chance to bid for an exciting range of items from the new Nexus phone with a Jeremy Paxman recorded voicemail to the chance to dance with Chris Hollins, the bidding raised thousands of pounds for Action for Children, The Rory Peck Trust and Students Partnership Worldwide.
