The Ultimate News Quiz 2011

The Ultimate News Quiz is back, and this time, we're defying gravity...

“Never before in the field of human quizzing have so many egos and bigheads battled it out for the sake of vanity and winning a modestly priced tin cup”
Jeremy Paxman, 2007
"Forget the BAFTAs and the RTS awards – this is the quiz that every news programme wants to win”
Jon Snow, 2010
"The Ultimate News Quiz is where hacks and TV luvvies get their comeuppance"
Anne Robinson, 2010

It's that time again. The date is decided - February 17th 2011. A high-flying venue that's not for the faint-hearted. And a glittering line up of hosts to pose the questions and crack the whip.

Once again, politicians, media luminaries, corporate brains and the country's TV news teams will battle it out in the Ultimate News Quiz. For the fifth year running, the Quiz will pit teams against one other to see who really has a handle on the news agenda, who can answer the toughest questions on the events of the year and who is up for the passionate debate that inevitably ensues...

This year, the Ultimate News Quiz will be held at Altitude 360, on the 29th floor of the Millbank Tower. Set against incredible views over London, this year's Quiz will be chaired by a selection of surprise celebrity guests. Comedian Rory Bremner will be returning to host our luxury auction.

Once again, all proceeds will go to charity—our chosen causes are: Action for Children and Restless Development. All proceeds from the table raffle will go to the Rory Peck Trust. Last year, we raised over £46,000. This year...the sky's the limit.

If you want your brand to feature at this meeting of some the country's most brilliant minds, why not sponsor a round? Jahnavi Emmanuel on +44 207 976 8070 or partnerships@restlessdevelopment.org.

Don’t miss out on a spot on your team table!

Restless Development is the youth-led development agency, working to place young people at the forefront of development. They work with over 400,000 young people in Africa and South Asia each week, supporting them to address the urgent health, education and environmental issues which affect their lives.

Action for Children is the largest children's charity in the UK, helping over 108,000 of the most vulnerable children and young people each year. Through their services and campaigns they break through injustice, deprivation and inequality. They believe that all children must feel loved, valued and have a sense of belonging.
