The Ultimate News Quiz 2010

For the fourth year the Ultimate News Quiz once again will be pitting the biggest brains and egos in TV and Radio news and we’d love it if you could come along to test your knowledge and wits against the masters. The date will be Thursday February 11 2010 from 6.30pm, so put this date in your diaries now!

Very excitingly, this year the event is being staged at the headquarters of Google in Victoria. Google UK’s Laura Scott, says: “Google’s thrilled to be hosting the media world’s brainiacs for this year’s Ultimate News Quiz. It promises to be an entertaining and enthralling night with plenty of money raised for both charities.”

The evening commences with a Taittinger champagne reception at 6.30pm followed by the Ultimate News Quiz at 8pm. Food and drink is served throughout the night and there is the chance to win some superb prizes in our main and silent auctions, not to mention the table raffle and fantastic take home goody bags.

As with last year, our host is the Mistress of The Put Down, Anne Robinson. Half time will see entertainment and the charity auction which last year was led by Rory Bremner and featured prizes ranging from a long weekend for 12 at Chateau Varsy to Cartier Polo tickets. We’re aiming even higher this time.

Teams will include ITV News, BBC News, BBC 24, Sky News, Channel 4 News, Today & WATO, Five News, Newsnight and the current holders, Endemol.

Please e-mail liz.west@spw.org now to book a table or find out about ticket prices. Alternatively, contact your team captain from last year.
